About Truro
The Market Inn pub on Lemon Quay
Though relatively small, Truro has lots to ofter. It's the main shopping hub and cultural heart of Cornwall. Our house is situated right next door to Truro Cathedral - which is famous for its choir and the quality of its musical recitals and concerts.
Living so close to the Cathedral also means we live right in the centre of Britain's most southerly city. Everything Truro has to offer is within a few minutes' walk from our house.
The Hall for Cornwall Theatre on Lemon Quay is the main arts venue for the region. It hosts a wide range of drama, music and dance.
There are also many restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs. The Royal Cornwall Museum on River Street has regular exhibitions and the cinema on historic Lemon Street shows the latest film releases.
Truro is also close to some of Cornwall's best beaches on the North and South coasts and the city lies at the head of the beautiful Carrick Roads river network. Sailing, surfing, fishing and other water sports and activities can be enjoyed within a few miles of Truro. There are also lovely country walks on our doorstep.
